Because the December 2021 meeting was cancelled, our guild celebrated our Coupon Capers at our June meeting. We met at Green Acres Restaurant in Sheguiandah, ON for our meal (very good!), then went to the Community Hall in Sheguiandah for our meeting. (Thanks to Myrna for suggesting and organizing this).
Our gifts for Coupon Capers were arranged all around the stage in the hall, so we spent several minutes, admiring them and placing our coupons near the items we wanted to win (and winning was quite obvious because we had many more gifts than members at the meeting, thanks to the generosity of the people who donated them!). At the end of the evening, the guild decided to donate the proceeds to the Manitoulin Resource Centre (food bank).
As well as the caper gifts, the quilts for the President's Challenge were displayed. We had our business meeting and the 'golden needle' was passed, first from Pat P. to Kathy G. (because it hadn't been passed the previous year), then from Kathy G. to Pat M.
Our Show 'n Tell quilts were excellent and all the photos can be seen below:

Cathy won Sally's baking! Fortuitous because Cathy and her husband are one of 2 families who are sponsoring a Ukrainian family. |
