December 2018 Island Quilters Guild Show and Tell and Fund Raiser

The Island Quilters Guild had a very enjoyable December meeting at the Missionary Church Hall in Mindemoya, ON.  Volunteers prepared a delicious 4 course meal (appetizers, punch, salad, buffet meal, desserts and coffee/tea).  Sitting together, talking about the season (and quilting, of course) added to the good spirits, as did the knowledge that the driving weather was clear!
Following dinner we enjoyed our monthly 'Show n Tell', which included many gifts for the season.  At the same time, we investigated all the gifts brought by members which we then bid on as we raised money for the local food bank.  We call the event 'Christmas Capers' and some members call it 'I won enough gifts for my family this year', while others say 'Well, it was my donation'!
