Island Quilters Guild - June Dinner Meeting and Show 'n Share - 2025

The Island Quilters Guild held its final dinner meeting on June 12, 2025 at the Sheguiandah Community Hall, where the hall volunteers served us a wonderful roast beef dinner with appetizers, salad and all the trimmings (including Yorkshire pudding).  They completed this meal with a rich multi-chocolate dessert!

Rolanda thanked the committee.

Our president, Rolanda T., arrived late due to the closure of Hwy. 6 between Espanola and the Island, so some of the final activities (i.e. passing the 'needle' to the next president) will take place at the September 2025 meeting.
There was a presentation of the 2025-26 executive and committee names:
Following the meeting, members shared their projects and Cathy J. and Rolanda T. showed blocks from their Tinners for this year.

Since there is still a need for a food bank, the guild decided to raise money for the Island food bank.  We raised $350 and voted to add to the total and donate $400.  In addition, Sally W. donated some delicious baking for secondary draws!  Thank you Sally, and it was too bad that the butter tarts could only go to one winner!

At the end of the meeting, we gathered in the hall for a group photo (missing Jackie W. and Lauren M.)
