Island Quilters Guild - March Show 'n Tell

Our March meeting had to be relocated to the Providence Bay Hall because workers were refinishing the floor at the Mindemoya Community Hall.  On top of that, the weather was threatening!  In spite of the problems, our guest, Mylain Mageau-Whissell (owner of Dominion Sewing on the Kingsway in Sudbury, Ontario) was able to visit and give us an outstanding overview of sewing machine maintenance!  Her store will work on many different sewing machines and she really showed us some of the tasks that we could undertake at home to maintain our machines.

Our Show 'n Tell was lovely:
Anna B. shows just one of the fur bears she makes from old fur coats.

Brenda P. shows her Trendtex Challenge 2023 quilt.

Melissa shows a quilt displaying varied interlocking patterns.

Pat Mac completed a large overnight bag.

A tablerunner by Pat P.

Pat Pepper with a quilt she designed.

The striking Providence Bay quilt for 2023, assembled by Kathy G. and quilted by Melissa.

Rolanda made these EPP blocks and the small tissue holder.

Vickie pieced this wintry cardinal quilt top.
