Our June 2026 meeting began with a wonderful meal by the volunteers at the Sheguiandah Community Hall.
They prepared a shrimp and pico de gallo appetizers with tortilla chips to begin along with a delicious punch. For dinner, we had parmesan Italian chicken, roasted carrots, roasted mini potatoes, ramen salad, bread baskets. Dessert was lava cake with vanilla ice cream.
There were 13 President's Challenge projects submitted ( Christmas theme along with applique or FPP or EPP).

Following dinner we enjoyed Show 'n Share, with some great projects:
Our guild decided to raise money for the Food Bank at the Manitoulin Resources and for the guild so we held a Toonie Auction to do so. Donations included:
(with many thanks to the businesses and individuals who donated the gifts)
- Sally's baking (2 lots)
- Wooden trays and a stitch book
- quilt books and Dewar farm soaps;
- a kitchen set of mugs and tea towels
- Perivale Gallery glasses
- an electric roaster oven
- a Grill & Chill gift certificate,
- wind chimes/solar light
- home made starch mixture
- Lakeside Longarmer certificate
We made about $1000 due to the amazing generosity of our members.
In celebration of our 30th anniversary, the guild voted to award a lifetime membership to one of our members. Myrna Ferguson was the overwhelming choice due to her ongoing participation in the guild activities and committees! Unfortunately, Myrna and Ron will be moving to Lively in the fall, so we will certainly miss her!
